Remote World
I can see the remote world being created around me very fast. It has apparent advantages, such as “pollution goes down ” or “people are more productive.” 👩💻 Two things got me thinking.
1) 👩🎓👩🏫 Mentoring younger colleagues.
In the office, you can learn a lot: also soft skills. You can
see how your peers deal with stress, you learn about other roles, or get a random tip on how to sort your Outlook folder 📨📩. I learned most of my Dutch by listening to colleagues talk around me: something that would be way harder in a fully remote environment!
I am curious about how remote work could shape us as professionals. Maybe we will be more proactive: asking, following people who share online or searching what we lack.
2) 🧑💼👩💼👨💼Building a team.
I already read tips such as “call more often to ask about the personal matters,” “use video,” “drink coffee remotely.”
Still, I am excited to learn about more online team activities: which are more than just a group call!
Many opportunities for videoconferencing companies and teambuilding experts in this domain 😉
I think becoming fully remote will still be a challenge for a while – but possible!
