When in London
I recently visited London, and here are some ideas on what to do and to see when in London for 2 days!
Day 1
- Take a picture inside of a red booth!
- If you have one place to visit, go for Westminster Abbey! I mean, I was impressed how much history the place contains, it blew my mind! You can get tickets right in front of the Abbey, they were a bit pricey, but it was worth it.
3. Effectively look at all main sights in one day -> this was our way of doing it:
Green Park metro station > Buckingham Palace > Houses of Parliament > Westminster Abbey (we also went in!)>metro to London Bridge> walk to Tower Bridge, passing by London Bridge and enjoying cool walk near water > Chill near Tower> Great Fire of London Monument> St.Paul Cathedral
4. Get a cup of coffee at the Roasting Plant Coffee to relax from all the walking
5. Watch a theatre performance under open air at the “Shakespeare’s Globe”. We had standing tickets (which also got a drink), and it was sooo fun! We watched “Much Ado About Nothing“, and this performance was so so good, it blew my mind! Yard tickets are just 5 pounds.
Day 2
- Visit Harry Potter Free Walking Tour! You can see some places where the films were filmed, and learn about some locations where inspiration of Rowling came from!
2. Visit “Angel District” of London for some unique vibe
3. When there, enjoy another cup of coffee at 63 degrees. Say “hi” to the coffee place owner Michael from me!
4. Take a picture of 9 3/4 platform with mega zoom to make it look like there is no line.
5. Enjoy a beer at any pub you find!
In my case, I also got to hug a dear friend who lives in London, but that is optional 😉
Thank you for great time, and tot ziens!
